Joyce Pickup, Head Tutor for Monday, committee member for many years,
started with the club in the beginning, teaching basic computer skills. Now
she only teaches Paint Shop Pro 8
for graphics, such as photo manipulation and restoration of old photos.
Margaret Barnett's two main hobbies are Computing and Photography.
When she heard about the Paint Shop Pro classes at the Club, she enrolled.
She loved the classes and found them very informative and fun.
She is now one of the Monday tutors.
Maggie Christensen Four years ago, I started lessons in PSP to help me design letters for
Incredimail and to enable me to do digital scrapbooking. I had tried to learn from books but just couldn't get the
hang of it. I heard about the HSCC and contacted Joyce to see if I could join her class.
Joyce and her tutors made the classes really easy to understand and there was always a helping hand by my side if needed.
The complexities of the program disappeared and I totally fell in love with it.
Last year, I was asked to help with tutoring and have been in that role for 15 months.
Graeme Gavin is a foundation member of the Club, and has served on the Committee
for almost 10 years.
His main computer interests are graphics and spread-sheets, as well as computer maintenance and security.
Robin Ireland has been associated with the Club from the early days,
firstly tutoring Works then Office and now Paint Shop Pro.
She has been a Committee member and on the Technical Team but now enjoys learning more in the Special Interest
Groups and attends the DIG, GIG and WIG sessions.
